Keeping Safe During COVID-19

In order to keep our patients, their families and our community safe, we have updated our pandemic safety measures.

1. Beginning June 28th, we will invite one adult to accompany their pets into the exam room for specific appointments.

2. To limit exposure between people, we are asking all clients to check in from their car. Upon arrival, please call (315) 622 2882.

3. We ask you to wear a mask when interacting with our team, during curbside appointments and entering the building, our team will continue to wear a mask for everyone’s safety.

4. When an exam room is available our team will contact you, a hospital team member will meet you at the door.

5. A hospital team member will show you and your pet directly into an exam room.

6. Hand sanitizer will be available for your use.

7. Our hospital team will hold the pet in support of the veterinarian during the appointment.

8. Upon completion of the doctor’s examination of your pet, the hospital team will advise on checking out and exiting the hospital.

9. Our team disinfects our exam rooms after every appointment and the lobby area is disinfected continuously throughout the day.

10. Food and prescription pick-up, wellness visits and technician appointments will continue to be handled curbside during our normal hours of operation.

11. Curbside appointments will be accommodated upon request if you are uncomfortable accompanying your pet inside, please let us know when you check-in.

As always, the health and safety of our clients and our team is a top priority. Until we’re able to fully return to normal operations, we ask that you continue to follow our recommended safety guidelines.

    Lead Doctor

    Dr. Maghan Wormuth joined LAHC in June of 2008. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2008. Prior to moving to Baton Rouge, Dr. Wormuth completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Niagara University. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan; their two children; and two cats.     Veterinarian

    Dr. Nick Wolfer is a native of Lyons, NY. He earned his Bachelor of Science in 2004 and his DVM in 2008, both from Cornell University. His veterinary interests include dogs and cats, as well as other small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. In their free time, Dr. Wolfer and his wife, Dr. Esther Livingstone, enjoy hiking, photography, and cross-country skiing. His hobbies include woodworking and keeping tropical freshwater fish.     Veterinarian

    Dr. Ruback joined Liverpool Animal Health Center in June 2016. She got her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Spanish at SUNY Geneseo and her DVM at Cornell University. She has interests in wellness and preventative medicine, surgery, pain management, and internal medicine. Her hobbies include working out and enjoying the outdoors and she enjoys Spanish culture and music. Outside the hospital, she spends time with her boyfriend and their two dogs.     Dr. Hoerner joined Liverpool Animal Health Center in October of 2017. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Animal Science in 2011 and her DVM in 2016, both from Cornell University. She grew up in Buffalo, NY and enjoys hiking, gardening, and various artistic pursuits. Her veterinary interests include dogs, cats, and exotic small mammals.     Dr. Jin joined Liverpool Animal Health Center in June 2019. She earned her Bachelor’s in Biology and Psychology, both from Dartmouth College in 2015. She earned her DVM in 2019 from Cornell University. Dr. Jin grew up in New Jersey, and she enjoys baking, cooking, and hanging out with her two cats.
